ザックリ言うと、コートの襟にシャツの襟を前回で被せてる感じという捉え方。肌着を外套の上に被せんのかよっていう。
マウンパ、モッズなどのコートが大丈夫なのはそういう形の外套だから。
ジャケットを着ないで外に出るなんて！Tシャツ？肌着で外に出るのか！っていう50年ぐらい遅れた考えだけど。
