白いレザースニーカーはぼろぼろに汚れるとださいけれど、新品だと表情がのっぺらして浮く。くたってしわが入ると馴染む。
ただぼろぼろだと人にだらしなく思われちゃうよね。

とは言え履き込む=汚いではない。
例えば柔道着のノリでパリパリ新品状態よりも使い込んで洗濯をしてクタッとしてる方が強そうに見えるのと一緒。
山ごもりをしていて洗濯してない汚れきった柔道着を着た仙人みたいなやつが強そうに見えることもある。でもそれは強靭なこだわりと独自の価値観がそう見せているのであって、靴で言うとスタイリストとか所謂オシャレ上級者がやればこそそれっぽく見えるだけで一般の奴がやっても実力の伴ってない汚い奴で終わってしまう。
つまりはそういう事

要は、ちゃんと手入れ（洗ったり、油分入れたり）してるの前提で、使い込んだ風合い（色あせやら、スレ、ツヤ）が味なんだよ。

スニーカーでもちゃんとこまめに、洗ったり
レザースニーカーでも革靴同様に手入れしたのをせめて味と呼ぶべき
